Overview

Everything you need to know about modern web development will be covered in this course. We’ll start in the browser and work our way up to the server. This module combines hands-on experience with the core technologies with just enough theory on the bigger concepts. Everything will be looked at from a design, a technical, and a financial point of view. At the end, students will have a small, working web application.

Learning highlights

  • Understand the main concepts of web development (frontend, backend, and full-stack situations).
  • Learn how to deal with web development from a project manager point of view.
  • Be able to create a small website project yourself (monolith, full stack).
  • Understand the architecture and core components of modern web frameworks.
  • Understand the tradeoffs between privacy, security, scalability, business, and usability.
