Overview

This course explains how a modern framework such as Laravel can be used to turn an idea into a working application. The module focuses on production aspects and advanced techniques — including the integration of external services, the development of interactive applications, and the creation of an API for your app — as well as key concepts such as microservices and multi-tenancy. You will learn how to progress from a prototype to a deployed application, so that by the end of the course your idea will be accessible and usable to the world.

Learning highlights

  • Integrate and use external services (API or SDK).
  • Extend knowledge beyond MVC frameworks.
  • Build your own API for programmatic access.
  • Learn how to run an application in production.
  • Course has a focus on sustainable dev workflows beyond the solo developer situation.
  • Learn how to monitor usage, and to use it to detect new user needs and fix weak design points.
