Skills you’ll learn
The course consists of two parts:
1) a repetition of basic Python, where we will remember how to write functions, implement classes, catch exceptions, read and write files.
2) study of specialised libraries for data analysis - starting with libraries for reading / writing XML, JSON, CSV, YAML, reading SQL databases from Python. Ending with libraries for changing and visualising data. The course will end with a case of using the CatBoost library in application to the classification problem

This course is very practical: we won’t spend a minute looking at PowerPoint presentations. All the material will be given as code examples and code assignments. We’ll have plenty of class practice with live testing. Tasks that are not done in the classroom are converted into homework. It might be complicated first, but you’ll learn how to think in Python.
