Overview

Entrepreneurial finance is a recently emerged field of finance that sits at the crossroads of entrepreneurship and finance. In getting to the definition of ‘entrepreneurial finance’, it is interesting to think about the meaning of its components. Entrepreneurship relates to the discovery of an opportunity and the steps that need to be taken to make it a reality, while finance relates to obtaining money, to investing money and to understanding the cost and the best use of money. That said, entrepreneurial finance is best described as the art and science of investing and financing entrepreneurial ventures.

It mainly (but not exclusively) involves private funding. This course learns actual opportunities that can be made into a business – a real one, that has the potential to become financially sustainable.
