Overview

In the second part of the Content Marketing Masterclass, we’ll focus on some hands-on content marketing and SEO topics and prepare for the final assignment of the course.

The lab portion of the module will help students strengthen and reinforce the knowledge and skills they acquired during the first part of the course.

We’ll talk about creating ready-to-rank content, conducting SEO research, content writing and building a content funnel. Then, we’ll perform practical tasks to apply those skills and look at some inspiring content marketing examples.

Finally, the students will be given the opportunity to prepare their final assignments and perform group presentations.

We’ll discuss the main best practices and workflows for SEO research. It will be a workshop session.

Building a powerful content funnel and connecting the dots

We’ll talk about content diversification, connecting content marketing to business goals and creating a content funnel.

Final assignment prep

We will use this session to let students prepare their final assignments and answer their questions. I will personally review each presentation and provide tips on what to improve.

Group presentations

Each group will present a content strategy for their selected business.

A final bonus topic of personal branding, career development, and online networking will be presented afterwards, time permitting.

Methodology

The interactive format combines lectures, discussions and small group/individual activities and assignments.

We’ll follow the process developed at the first part of the course: the groups and their sample businesses will stay the same.

Grading

The final grade will be composed of the following criteria:
30% - Class participation
20% - Quizzes (7% each)
30% - Assignments (10% each)
20% - Final project
